(Woodbury, NY – November 2022) Stanton Carpet Corporation, the nation’s leader in decorative, premium carpet, rugs and private label LVP, is the floor sponsor of the Designing Hope Showhouse: a project to create comfort in a home away from home. The Ronald McDonald House in the Greater Hudson Valley is leading the project along with the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and Aspire Design Magazine along with various product sponsors and an A-list of design talent.
“Our mission was to transform the Ronald McDonald House to create a comforting place that promotes healing and creates an atmosphere of peace and hope for families affected by a sick child. Certainly this would not have been possible without the dedication, talent and donations of our extremely generous designers,” said Katherine McGowen, President of ASID NY Metro. Every single designer has strived to create a place of comfort for the families who enjoy this beautiful renovated house.”
The project involves a complete makeover of the home with the help of generous interior design industry executives. During the unveiling at the end of September, the creations of 20 designers included: 2 corridors, 13 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, 2 family laundry rooms, a lobby and an anteroom, a conference room, a family pantry, a 2nd floor family study and a relaxation area, a recreation room , a public toilet and office space. Stanton supplied the entire LVP in the guest rooms as well as Stanton Street commercial carpet tiles for the corridors and common areas.
Working with three of Stanton’s local retailers, Carpet Trends, Fenway Floors and Allen Carpet, we were also able to generously provide the labor for installations throughout the facility.
“Stanton is thrilled to be pooling our efforts and supporting RMH along with so many talented designers and our valued retail partners. Their design and installation expertise coupled with our decorative flooring solutions resulted in elevated style, functionality and complete and absolute comfort throughout the home,” notes Senior Director of Marketing, Christine Zampaglione. “The design talent was unparalleled and each designer truly created a one-of-a-kind retreat for families going through the unimaginable.”
When a child is dealing with a serious illness or injury, the whole family needs comfort and support. The mission of the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley (RMHGHV) is to provide hope, help and a home away from home to families during their child’s medical crisis. Keeping families close and with the care and resources they need. Families are stronger when they are together, and by keeping them close, the Ronald McDonald House plays a role in the healing and coping process.
“We are thrilled with this collaboration and the transformation Designing Hope has brought to the Ronald McDonald House,” said Christina Riley, Executive Director, RMHGHV. “The thoughtful care that each and every designer has put into this project is inspiring. In just a few months they have achieved what we strive for every day at Ronald McDonald House; to make families feel at home even when they can’t be.”
The culmination of the RMHGHV Designing Hope project was celebrated with a Designer Showcase Gala, which included exclusive tours of the newly designed areas. The project will receive editorial coverage from Aspire Home and Design Magazine in their NY Metro Winter Issue, Show House Issue and via their Instagram page.
